National Research Council panel on Informal Science Learning

The National Research Council is about to begin a "comprehensive synthesis of research on science learning in informal environments." The panel on Learning Science in Informal Environments will meet for the first time in early June. Not sure how I got to be part of this, but it'll no doubt be very interesting. Diverse group of people all thinking about how to understand how people learn outside of schools, how to make such learning happen more.

A lot of the early work will be "closed session," but I'll try to post summaries as we move along if NRC+others panelists are cool with it.
